The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), member of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group and the GTRC's Trade and Transport Sub-team, are jointly organizing an OIC Regional Workshop on “Trade Facilitation with an Emphasis on Cross Border Cooperation and Roles of Customs Administrations” with the Ministry of Customs and Trade and the Union of the Chambers of Commodity Exchange of Turkey during 21-23 November 2011, in Ankara, Turkey. 6/16/2011Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria
Within the framework of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria on Co-operation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Matters, signed in 1997 and in line with the good tradition established over the last years, a meeting was held on June 3, 2011 in Sofia between the delegations of the Turkish and the Bulgarian Customs Administrations for discussing customs related issues of common interest between the two countries.
The Turkish delegation was headed by Mr. Ziya ALTUNYALDIZ, Undersecretary of Customs, and the Bulgarian delegation was headed by Mr. Vanyo TANOV, Director General of the National Customs Agency.
The meeting is deemed fruitful in respect of enhancing mutual goodwill and cooperation between the two countries’ Customs Administrations. Both sides expressed their content about the fruitful discussions in the meeting and indicated their willingness to hold such meetings regularly in order to enhance the existing cooperation between two sides.
